Learn and dare to bargain, you will find
the skill very helpful as it would save your money in Bali.
You wouldn’t like it if you found out that you had overpaid
some items you’ve bought.

Respect Balinese customs, rituals and sensibilities.
Please follow the local rules and prohibitions

Make sure you pick up the right taxi, if
you want to travel. Specify the taxi driver that you want the
meter to run properly, get out from the taxi right away if the
driver say that the meter is broken. There is a risk of you
being charged with an expensive fare.

Make sure you bring your sun-blocks, don’t
let the heat burns your skin

Visitors got lost easily in Bali, so make
sure that your bring a completed and comprehensive map of Bali.
You may ask the local for directions, the Balinese are well-known
for their hospitality.

Bring a sufficient supply of prescription
drugs. You may also purchase your medicine at local store with
“Apotek/Apotik” signs. Bring also any important
items related to your medical history and your physician’s
contact information.

Keep small change with you, you’ll
never know how it will come in handy.

Dress casually, but please remember to dress
properly when you visit religious place. Also remember to choose
the right shoes that will comfort you while you’re traveling.

Change money at a reputable looking location,
use your own (or the hotel's) calculator before changing! Make
your financial transaction only in Banks or authorized money
changers. Always remember to ask for a receipt after a transaction.

Put on loads of High Factor Waterproof Sun
Cream (especially if you intend to spend a lot of time in the
water).

Drink a lot of bottled water and eat a lot
of fresh fruit - do your body a favor. Drink only boiled, distilled
or mineral water. You may purchase bottled mineral water in
local stores around you.

Leave important documents and papers safety
in your hotel room and always keep your eyes on your belongings.
Be careful with your belongings at all times. Crime is on the
increase and can ruin your holiday. Cases of handbag snatching
have been reported, so wear your bag across your shoulders!

Enter local customs ad traditions, especially
when visiting temples.

Respect the local and be very patient if
your car trapped behind a slow pace of local processions.

Avoid stepping on the offerings in the streets,
simply just walk around them

Haggle when buying (except on price-tagged
goods.)

Buy 'Immodium' to relieve bouts of Bali
belly.

Confirm your flight at least 48 hours prior
your next flight.

Do be careful with local pets or animals
you find in local tourism spot. The dogs might bite and the
monkeys might steal your bags.

Don’t forget to take your passport
(or a photocopy of your ID), with you at all times.

Don’t swim outside designated swimming
areas on the beach, currents can be very strong. Swim between
the red and yellow flags.

Don’t drugs! It can carry the death
penalty, and there are enough foreigners residing in Bali courtesy
of the Govt. prison service!

Don’t touch people's heads - it is
very offensive to Hindus.

Don’t enter a temple during menstruation.

animal.

Don’t use camera’s flash light
while taking pictures in front of the priest or people praying
in the temple.

Don’t stand or sit in a higher position
than the offerings or the priest while visiting a temple.

Don’t forget to look and listen while
you cross the road. Cars may stop, motorbikes may not!
